Checking diagnostic trouble code (DTC) status




- Switch the ignition on and off a few times.
- Ignition on.
- Disconnect the VIDA station.




- Read off diagnostic trouble code (DTC) counters with the Volvo Scan Tool (ST).

Is counter value greater than 0 (zero)?

Yes - Memory circuit is OK

No - Replacing component

Replacing component




- Ignition off.
Try a new control module according to Replacing transmission control module (TCM) Replacing Transmission Control Module (TCM).

Continue - FAULT FOUND

Memory circuit is OK
The control module previously stored a fault. The memory circuit is now OK. No further corrective action.
