Front seats

Overview




The front seats are equipped with sophisticated arrangements for folding down the backrest, and moving the seat forward and backward to facilitate the entry and exit of the rear seat passengers.
Two seat variants are available, one with a power-assisted forward-backward movement and the other with a mechanical action.

Note! Seat will stop as soon as lever is released.

Function, power seat
Operation of power seat for folding down/raising backrest.
Folding backrest down (Fig. A):
- Raise lever, fold backrest down.
- Lever may be released when folding movement has commenced.
Raising backrest:
- Raise lever and return backrest to raised position.
- Lever may be released when raising movement has commenced.

Operation, power seat for rear seat entry
Folding backrest down (Fig. B):
- Raise lever and fold backrest down into latched position while keeping lever raised.
- Seat will move forward to front stop position.
Resetting of seat backrest (Fig. D)
- Raise lever and return backrest to raised (latched) position while keeping lever raised.
- Seat will return to original position.
A pull strap (Fig. C) beside the inner seat rail is provided to allow the front seat backrest to be folded down and the seat to be moved forward from the rear seat. The strap has the same function as the lever on the backrest. The backrest latch is released and the seat moves forward when the strap is pulled.The seat stops as soon as the strap is released.

Operation, mechanical seat for folding down backrest
Folding backrest down:
- Raise lever and fold backrest down (lever must be released when folding action is commenced).
- Continue to press backrest down into latched position.
Resetting seat:
- Raise lever and return backrest to raised position (lever may be released as soon as raising action is commenced).
- Ensure that backrest is latched in raised position.

Folding backrest down and moving seat forward
- Raise lever and fold backrest down. Keep lever raised until backrest reaches forward latched position.
- Seat is now in 'floating' position.
- Continue to press backrest down so that seat moves forward.
Resetting seat:
- Move seat back into desired position.
- Raise lever and return backrest to raised position (lever may be released as soon as raising action is commenced).
- Ensure that backrest is latched in raised position.
