Repairing bezel for flap, rear side panel(s)
Background:
This service bulletin describes how to repair the bezel for the flap on the rear side panel(s). Two alternative methods are used to secure the bezel.

Note!
To repair the plastic studs, which secure the bezel to the panel, two alternatives are used. If any of the studs are damaged at the base on the bezel, the bezel must be replaced.
Un-hooking link 1
Disconnect the link for the side panel cover.
Inspecting studs, rear panel 2
If the two inner most studs are damaged the rear side panel(s) have to be removed.

4 Sheet metal screw
Remove any debris/material from the hollow pant of the stud.
If the stud is sheard off flush or just under the panel surface (2, see illustration) a sheet metal screw and a washer is used to secure the bezel to the panel.
If stud protrudes less than 2 mm (0,080"), but beyond panel surface, file down the stud to be flush with the panel surface of the quarter back panel (2, see illustration).
Alternative 2 4
If the plastic stud protrudes 2 mm (0,080") or more beyond the panel surface (2, see illustration alternative 1), use a push-on retaining washer to secure the bezel to the panel.
Note!
Use caution when installing retaining washer on the stud, not to damage the bezel.
