Note! Check that the correct memory cassette is being used in the Volvo Scan Tool (ST) before commencing fault-tracing.

Possible source
- Low battery voltage.
- Open-circuit in the diagnostics lead or if there is a short-circuit to ground or supply voltage in the diagnostics circuit.
- Defective Volvo Scan Tool (ST), adapter or wiring.
- Short-circuit to ground in the 30-supply to the control module
- Open-circuit in the ground lead.
- Open-circuit in the 15-supply cable to the control module.
- Contact resistance in the control module connector.

Fault symptom[s]
- No communication with the convertible system control module.
