Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Description and Operation
Engine Coolant Fan
The engine has a large cooling system with an electronically controlled engine coolant fan. This fan draws air through the radiator from behind.
The engine coolant fan runs at two speeds depending on engine temperature and pressure in A/C system.
The fan is electronically controlled via a fan control (FC) relay operated by the fuel/DI system control module.
WARNING:
- The fan is self-starting.
- The fan can start even when the ignition is switched off.
