Communication problems
Communication interrupted for one of the following reasons:
- A cable has come loose
- Volvo Scan Tool (ST) is switched off
- A communication problem has occurred in the VIDA application
- Check that the adapter is correctly connected to the Volvo Scan Tool (ST).
- Check that the VIDA-wiring between the adapter box and the VIDA- station is correctly connected.
- Check that the signal cable is correctly connected to the battery and Volvo Scan Tool (ST).
- Make sure that the correct memory cassette is inserted the Volvo Scan Tool (ST).
- Check that the switch on the adapter box is ON.
Hint: If the car has an after market immobilizer installed (with a separate key) which interrupts power supply to the engine control module (ECM), the immobilizer should be deactivated with the appropriate key.
Consequent to the communication problem there is the following alternative:
1. Try again.
2. Carry out a fault-tracing for the communication problem.
3. Finish.
-------------------------------------------------
Communication failure
Communication has been interrupted due to one of the following reasons:
- lead is disconnected
- ignition is switched off
- Check that lead to DCLA is properly attached.
As a result of the communication failure, the following alternatives are available:
1. Make another try.
2. Fault-trace according to communication problems.
3. Exit.
