- Check that the throttle cable is not sticking.

- Start the engine and idle it.
- Select Volvo Scan Tool (ST) to read off the signal from the throttle position (TP) sensor.
The signal should be approximately 0.5 V at closed throttle position (CTP)
OK - Fault-tracing information
Not OK - Checking link rod

Check that the throttle spindle is in contact with the adjustment screw when the throttle pulley is in contact with the idling stop.
- 1. the throttle spindle is in contact with the adjustment screw.
- 2. there is an air leakage.
