Installing Screwed Joints

Installing screwed joints

General requirements
Clean all mating surfaces in the joint, first mechanically and then with a degreasing agent. If necessary, replace screws and nuts for torque-tightened joints.

Note! Lock nuts must always be replaced with new ones. If re-using screws and nuts, always clean and grease them first. Always replace screws, or screws and nuts in torque/protractor-tightened joints. Does not apply to M22 self-locking drive shaft nuts. The old nut can be reused.
