Alarm
If the car battery has to be replaced the siren function should be disabled.


NOTE: Earlier types of siren with rechargeable batteries could be turned off with the key supplied. This is not the case on cars where Guard Alarm II has been installed.


To disable the siren function on the new alarm proceed as follows:
- Disarm the alarm system
- Turn the ignition ON and then OFF
- Disconnect the battery leads within 15 seconds of the ignition being turned off
The alarm siren will be on-line again when the battery leads are reconnected to the battery.
