Fault-tracing With The Volvo Scan Tool (ST)1: Read the System Description. Description and Operation
- If uncertain about the functions or component parts of the power seat.
- Then continue with step 2.
2: Read General Data. General Data
- Ignition and high tension components.
- Battery.
- SIPS Airbag.
- Control modules.
- Radio.
- Alarm.
- Abbreviations.
- Symbols.
- Location of components.
- Then continue with step 3.
3: Read off diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
- Note down the fault symptoms the customer describes.
- Connect Volvo Scan Tool (ST). If there is a problem with communication refer to Fault Symptoms. Checking Supply Voltage Fault Tracing Information
- Read off diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
- Then continue with step 4.
4: Correct fault
- Carry out fault-tracing in accordance with DTC table below.
- If the fault is still present, carry out fault-tracing accordance with Symptom Table. Symptom Table
- Then continue with step 5.
5: Final check
- Erase diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) PSL/PSR-424 cannot be erased.
- Carry out function test and activate all functions on the power seat. Check for correct operation and that the symptoms described by the customer are no longer present.
- Finish by reading diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and checking that no diagnostic trouble code (DTC) has be set again.
- Then continue with step Operation done.
