Combined Instrument Panel





The combined instrument panel receives information about vehicle speed from a sensor in the rear axle. Speed information is transferred from the combination instrument to the engine control module (ECM), which uses it for engine management computations.

The engine control module transmits the engine speed (RPM) signal, engine coolant temperature (ECT) and malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) requests to the combined instrument panel.
