Fuel Delivery and Air Induction: Testing and Inspection

Connecting
- Connect adapter 999 5484 to fuel draining unit 981 2270, 2273 and 2282.
- Remove the protective cap from valve at the rear of the fuel rail.
- Connect the adapter to the valve on the fuel rail in its locked position.
- Start fuel drainage unit.
- Unlock the adapter.





Draining Fuel System
- Raise the car

Remove:
- cap from valve on fuel filter.
- connect venting hose 999 5480 to valve upstream of fuel filter.

NOTE: System takes approx. 2 minutes to drain.

Installing
- Reinstall components in reverse order.

CAUTION: Remember to refit valve caps.
