Checking Wiring And Connections

CAUTION: Do not apply rust solvent spray or grease to the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) connector.

- Check cable between rear heated oxygen sensor terminal 4 and engine control module (ECM) # A34 for an intermittent open-circuit.
- Check cable between rear heated oxygen sensor terminal 3 and engine control module # A19 for an intermittent open-circuit.
- Check engine control module and rear heated oxygen sensor connectors for loose connections.

For intermittent faults fault-tracing is not followed by a verification because the fault is not present at this moment.
