Signal Too low. Permanent Fault
Checking For A Short-circuit
- Ignition off.
- Disconnect connector from solenoid valve.
- Check cable between solenoid valve terminal 2 and engine control module (ECM) # A37 for a short-circuit to ground.
Verification
- After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied as follows.
- Ignition off.
- Solenoid valve and engine control module connected.
- Ignition on.
- Activate solenoid valve.
- A "clicking sound" is heard from the solenoid valve when it is activated.
- Is the solenoid valve working?
If reading is OK:
^ Fault corrected
If reading is incorrect:
^ Proceed to test step below.
Fault-tracing Information
The verification result shows that the fault persists.
- Do you want to exit fault-tracing?
Yes:
^ Fault hot corrected
No:
