Condition
- DTCs not posted.
- Fault is permanent.
Possible source
- Low brake fluid
- Signal cable short-circuit to ground
- Detective brake fluid level sensor.
- Defective instrument sensor.
- Defective charging system.
Warning! If the warning light is activated when driving or when braking, the brake fluid level is too low and the vehicle should not be driven before the fault is rectified.

Check the brake fluid level
- Start the engine.
- Rev the engine once.
Check that the charging light goes out (the alternator begins to charge).
