Center Sealing Strip

CHH9 Removal of Center Sealing Strip, Hood Cover:





Move hood to the position shown in the image. If necessary, remove hood cover as described in CHN1, Hood Cover Replacement.





- Release ferrules from strip and pull strip upwards.
- Remove sealing strip.

CHH10 Installation of Center Sealing Strip, Hood Cover:

NOTE: Avoid pulling strip in longitudinal direction during installation.

- Use the removed strip if possible.
- Lubricate strip with soapy water.
- Open strip.
- Press strip into groove, using a pressure tool it necessary.

CAUTION: The surface to which the strip has to be glued must be free of dirt and grease. Both strip and vehicle should be at room temperature.
