Preparations 1
Raise the cover with the button on the dash as per illustration.
Inspection and installing new spring clip 2
Inspect whether a spring clip is installed or not. If a clip is installed it must be removed and replaced with a new one, part no. 8618700.
If no spring clip is present, install spring clip, p/n 8618700.
Install the spring clip at a distance of (A) 66, 5 mm (2-5/8") from the reinforcement (beam).
WARRANTY STATEMENT: Claims may be submitted under the New Car Warranty when there is a documented customer complaint, using claim type 01.
