Reading Out Volvo Diagnostics

Information about any faults and other information can be read using the Volvo System Tester which is connected to the data link connector under the centre console cover. The Volvo System Tester communicates with the control unit using a standard form of communication.

The Volvo System Tester can be used to:
Read and erase stored diagnostic trouble codes, counters and frozen values.
Read the values and status of the system's input and output signals
Read the control unit identification
Reset the system (corresponding to ignition off/on).
