Checking Power and Ground Terminal. Throttle Unit
Checking the power supply and ground terminals for the throttle unit
Checking the power supply and ground terminals for the throttle unit
Checking the power supply
- Check the fuse for power supply to the electronic throttle unit. If the fuse is blown, check the circuit after the fuse. Check for a short-circuit to ground
- Check power supply to throttle unit #6. Voltage should be approximately battery voltage.
Checking the ground terminal
- Check the ground lead between throttle unit terminal #5 and engine ground terminal ETM 31/91. Check for an open-circuit
- Check the ground terminal for the throttle unit. Check for contact resistance and oxidation.
Remedy as necessary
Other information
- Ground terminal electronic throttle module (ETM) 31/91 for the throttle unit is located on the front of the cylinder block above the starter motor
