Glass general
The windows are tinted and relatively thick to reduce the noise level in the car.
Power windows are standard.
The P23 side windows are laminated (anti smash and grab windows), to make breaking into the car more difficult, this is an option depending on the market.






PUR bonded glass
The windshield, rear windshield and side windows (Q glass).
Glass bonded with PUR adhesive should be replaced using the methods developed by Volvo.
PUR bonded glass adds to the bodywork torsional stiffness which is positive for
- The driving characteristics and crash safety,
- Driving comfort. The risk of rattles and squeaking is reduced. There is also less risk of resonance from vibrations in the drive train and suspension.

Note! When replacing the rear windshield, ensure that neither PUR adhesive or primer comes into contact with the wiring for the antenna and rear demister.

Door mirrors
The mountings are different to those on the S/V70 in that they are installed with one screw but have three support points.
As an option there are door mirrors which can be folded in electronically and lamps which light up the ground for better view This lighting is connected to the lamp flash and the remote control alarm.

External weatherstrip
The external weatherstrip is manufactured of PP-EPDM and PVC, in addition there is an aluminum brace on the molding.
Installation is carried out by pressing the molding into a gutter and pressing in a clip which covers the joint at the B post.
