Checking fuse and wires
- Check that the fuse in the engine compartment relay/fuse box is intact.
If the fuse is intact, check the cable between control module terminal #9 and the fuse for an open circuit as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
If the fuse has blown, check the cables to the control module for a short circuit to ground as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault , and for a short circuit to voltage supply as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault. Then replace the fuse.

No - Replacing the component

- Ignition off.
Test with a new ABS control unit as described in Control module (ABS), replacing Control Module (ABS), Replacing.

Select Continue when the fault has been rectified.

Hint: After the repair it is necessary to check that the fault has been rectified.








- Ignition off.
- Connect the connectors, install the components, etc.
- Test-drive the car as described in Test Drive Form (ABS), description Test Drive Form (ABS), Description.
Read the status of the diagnostic trouble code.
