Signal missing. Intermittent fault.

Check connectors
Check connector 54/3R and central electronic module (CEM) connector for contact resistance and oxidation as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults , and for a loose contact as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Check especially for any damage.

Hint: If cause of fault is found, then install components, connect connector etc.
If cause of fault is not found do not install central electronic module (CEM) until you have completed the trouble-shooting.

Checking the wires
Check the wire between central electronic module (CEM) connector 20A and ignition lock connector 50 for an intermittent open circuit as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults , and for a short circuit to ground as described in Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.

Additional information
- The voltage should be the same as the battery voltage with the key in position III.
