Condition
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) PHM-000E is stored if the keypad unit/car-phone module registers that the signal from the handset cradle is higher than 10 V.

Possible source
- Short--circuit to +12 V in the cable from the handset cradle to the keypad unit/car-phone module.

Fault symptom[s]
- Handset does not operate.
- Combined instrument panel message that the handset is not functioning.
