Replacing keypad unit
The fault has probably occurred as a result of an internal power supply fault in the keypad unit/car-phone unit. This type of fault means that the keypad unit/car-phone unit must be replaced.

Caution! A new keypad unit/car-phone module is delivered without software. The keypad unit/car-phone module must be programmed in order to operate after replacement.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off.
- Reinstall connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
- Switch on the car-phone.
Make a call so that both the handset and the hands-free system are used, see the instruction manual.

Read off diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
Check that the relevant diagnostic trouble code (DTC) has switched status from permanent to intermittent fault.
