Checking the control module




- Ignition on
- Read off the check sum and calculated check sum.
Check that the check sums correspond.









Are the values correct?

Yes - No Fault Found

No - Replacing software

Replacing software
Select Pause and save a new bookmark.
Then cancel the fault-tracing and select the software manager.
Download the latest software into the transmission control module (TCM).
See the "Technical journal" for information about the most recent software.

If they do not correspond this indicates an internal fault in the control module.

Yes - FAULT FOUND

No - Replacing the control module and programming

Replacing the control module and programming
The control module has registered an internal fault.

Caution! A new control module is delivered without software. The control module must be programmed in order to function after replacement.
