Background:
This Service Bulletin describes possible reasons why one or more of the following symptoms may be experienced.
- Possible diagnostic trouble code (DTC) for misfire (ECM).
- The tachometer needle fluctuates (swings) when the engine is cranked.
- The engine may be difficult to start.
This can be caused by the flywheel sensor signal being interrupted by the high current generated in the battery positive cable during engine start-up.
