Programming and reading off the programmed values
Data about programming and reading off the programmed values, central electronic module (CEM)
The central electronic module (CEM) can be programmed using this function.
A new central electronic module (CEM) must be programmed in the same way as the old module.
Read off data from the old central electronic module (CEM) before replacing it.
The following can be programmed:
- Automatic low beam
- Twin headlamps
- Front fog lamps.
Note! The parameter must be programmed when installing after market fog lamps.
- Tailgate wiper
- Tailgate wiper when reversing.
For information about the programmed values, see Description of programmed data Description Of Programmed Data.
1. Programming the central electronic module (CEM)
2. Reading off programmed values
3. Exit programming.
Select one of the above options.
1 - Programming automatic low beam
2 - Reading off the programmed values, central electronic module (CEM)
3 - DONE
-------------------------------------------------
Programming automatic low beam
Note! This parameter determines whether low beam will be on when the lighting switch is in position 0 and within which range the instrument lighting can be adjusted using the control. The available range for the instrument lighting is fixed in percentage for each setting.
Note! This function is market dependent. Contact the dealer if uncertain about this function. Unless otherwise stated, automatic low beam is standard for the USA.
- Ignition on.
1. Click the VCT2000 symbol to begin the programming procedure
2. Read off the current value for the setting in the upper list box
3. To modify the automatic low beamsetting, select the desired setting from the alternatives in the lower list window.
Note! In Europe a new central electronic module was introduced in week 13 2003. The part number is 3063 8707 and 3063 8708. These control modules must be programmed with a range of 6-100% instead of 20-100%. Older control modules are still programmed with a range of 20-100%.The newer control module cannot be programmed with settings of a range of 20-100%. The older control module cannot be programmed with a range of 6-100%.
4. Click the Start programming button to begin the programming procedure
5. Check that the new setting in the upper list box is correct.
If the selected setting is incorrect, click on the desired value in the lower list box again. Then click on the Start programming button. Check that the new value in the upper list box is the desired value.
Is there any further programming to be carried out?
Yes - Programming twin headlamps
No - DONE
