Front Fender: Service and Repair






Front wing

Removing front wing




Remove:
- The wing liner: 3 plugs (A), 2 screws (B) and 2 bolts (C).
- Front indicator: remove the screw.
- Side indicator (D) on the wing.
- The sill trim.
- Bumper/wing connector screw (E).
- Mounting:
front; 2 bolts (F)
top; 3 bolts (H)
bottom; 2 bolts (G)
- Remove the seal (foam).
- Bolt behind front door hinge
- Remove the mud guard if fitted.
Carefully remove the front wing.

Transferring components to the new wing




- Remove the clips and plate nuts present and transfer them to the new wing.
- If mounted: Remove the eye brown part and remove the glue.
- Turbo: Remove engine bay covers at working side.

Installing front wing




- Clean the inside of the front wing and attachment surface on the bodywork.
- Treat the cleaned parts with an anti-corrosive.
- Fit the front wing in the correct position.

Note! Tighten the bolts on the top first.Tightening torque: 6 Nm.

- Fit the new protective molding, see section Badge Removal and Replacement.
- Turbo: Install the engine bay covers.
- Clean the surface on the eye brown part and apply tape (P/N 1161449) on the place where removed.
- Fit the eye brown part.
- Fit the foam at the door side
- Fit front indicator.
- Fit side indicator.
- Fit sill trim
- Fit the wing liner.
