Checking the throttle position (TP) sensor
- Check that the value from the throttle position (TP) sensor is reasonable in comparison to the value that the throttle is considered to have. The value must increase with increased throttle angle.
Hint: The value must be approximately 0° when the throttle is closed and approximately 75-100° when the throttle is fully open.
Hint: Check the throttle position (TP) sensor for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault.
