Decals For Safety Equipment

Decals for the car's safety equipment are located as follows.

NOTE: The appearance of the decals may vary from market to market and model year to model year.

Windshield







Shows that the car is equipped with SRS.
The SRS decal is combined with the SIPS bag decal.

LH side of bulkhead







Never disconnect the steering shaft or steering gear without first locking the contact roller and removing the steering wheel.

B-pillar







The SRS decal on the B-pillar indicates the year and month when the steering wheel module and passenger module should be checked.

When changing the steering wheel/passenger air bag module

If the steering wheel or passenger air bag module is changed, the decal indicating the year and month should be replaced with the decal supplied with the new air bag module.

Front door (driver's side)







The decal warns of using covers on the driver and passenger seats that do not meet Volvo specifications.

Warning decal, child safety seat (passenger side)







The decal warns of placing a child safety seat on the front passenger seat.







WARNING: Never place a child seat on the front seat if the car is equipped with a passenger SRS air bag.

Sun visor







The decal warns of placing a child safety seat on the front passenger seat.
