Possible source
- Open-circuit in one of the signal cables to or from the wiper / washer switch, in the power supply to the windshield wiper motor via the wiper / washer switch, or in the ground cable from the windshield wiper motor.
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the power supply to the windshield wiper motor via the wiper /washer switch.
- Contact resistance and oxidation.
- Defective wiper / washer switch.

- The intermittent wiper function / wiper return does not work
