Faulty signal. Permanent fault
Checking fuse
Check that the car-phone fuse #18 in the passenger compartment fusebox is not half burned by trying a new fuse.
Other information:
- To access/replace the fuse, see Fusebox, passenger compartment, replacing Fusebox, Passenger Compartment, Replacing.

Checking power supply
Measure the power supply to the keypad/car-phone module between #A6 and the battery positive terminal.
Measure battery voltage.
If the difference is less than 2.5 V between the car-phone power supply and battery voltage there is an internal fault in the keypad/car-phone module. If the difference is greater than 2.5 V the fault is in the power cable.
Remedy as necessary.
Other information:
- To access/replace the keypad unit/car-phone control module, see Radio cassette player, replacing Radio Cassette Player, Replacing.
