Checking the head unit/audio unit rheostat function

Fault-tracing information
Check whether the rheostat function is working on the hazard warning flasher button by increasing and lowering the instrument lighting.

Hint: If the rheostat function is not working in the hazard warning flasher button, the fault is in the head unit/audio module.

Is the rheostat flash warning button working?

Yes - Replacing component

No - No Fault Found

Replacing component
Try a new head unit/audio module.

Caution! New head unit/audio control module are supplied without software. The head unit/audio control module must be programmed after it has been replaced.
