Control Module (VGLA)

Replacing The Lock And Alarm Control Module (VGLA)

Preparation:

CAUTION: It is vital that the programming of the old control module is read off before replacing it. This is done in VADIS/VIDA car communication under the title Reading off programmed values. Read off and make a note of the programmed values. Program this data back into the new control module. If it is not possible to read off the values, consult the manager/sales company/customer so that the new control module is programmed with the same configuration as the old control module.







- Make a note of the radio code.
- Turn ignition key to position 0.
- Disconnect the battery ground lead, otherwise you might introduce diagnostic trouble codes.

Removing the control module (VGLA)







Remove:
- Remove radio and center console storage compartment.
- Unhook locking screws (3x) and remove the control module.
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Remove the two bolts and remove the control module.

Installing the control module (VGLA)







Install:
- Connect the connectors.
- Install the control module on the bracket.
- Install radio and center console storage compartment.
- Turn ignition key to position II.
- Install the battery ground lead.

Ordering software

CAUTION: Software must be ordered to be able to program the new control module.

- Order software for S/V 40.

Programming new control module

CAUTION: The new control module can be programmed when the software is available.

- Program the control module for S/V 40.
