Continuous variable valve timing (CVVT) test
Activating the continuous variable valve timing (VVT) test
- Start the engine. Allow the engine to idle.
Note! The engine must idle and the engine temperature must be between 50 °C and 92 °C during the entire test.
- Click the VCT2000 symbol to activate the CVVT test
- Wait until the engine temperature exceeds 50 °C.
- Start the continuous variable valve timing (VVT) test. The control module checks the reaction time of the CVVT system to the signal transmitted by the control module by checking the change in the camshaft
- Wait until the CVVT-test is finished. CVVT-test finished YES shall be shown when the test is finished.
- Check the result of the CVVT test. The CVVT test results are read off automatically when the test has been correctly completed
- If the control module has not detected any problem, then status OK will be shown. If any problem is detected by the control module, then status Not OK will be shown.
- Click the stop button for a new attempt.
Is the status OK?
Yes - VERIFIED
No - VERIFICATION FAILED
