Parking Brake System: Adjustments






Parking brake, adjusting

General
The parking brake is adjusted using the central adjuster nut in the parking brake compensator.

Note! Full braking power must be obtained after 5-7 notches.

Adjusting the parking brake




- Remove the rear center console. See Rear center console Rear Center Console
- Check that the parking brake compensator (C) is straight
- Check the parking brake cable and brake caliper if necessary
- adjust the parking brake. Turn the centrally located adjuster nut (A) on the parking brake compensator so that the arm comes into light contact with the stop lug (B) on both sides
- check that the rear wheels can be rotated when the parking brake is not applied
- ensure that the adjustment lever is always under load
- install the rear section of the center console. See Rear center console Rear Center Console.
