Checking The Air Mass







- Start the engine and run it to normal operating temperature.
- Switch of all large power consuming components, for example the air conditioning (A/C) compressor, defroster and seat heaters. These influence the load on the engine and therefore the measurement value
- Read off the air mass. Check that the mass air flow and engine speed (RPM) follow each other according to Mass air flow (MAF) sensor

Are these values within their permitted ranges?

YES: Refer to Trouble Code Descriptions. Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions
NO: Continue with Test.
