Information About A Lit ABS Warning Lamp
Information about a lit ABS warning lamp
Information
Note! The information only applies if no diagnostic trouble code (DTC) has been stored.
When the ignition is switched on the ABS control module carries out a function check of the ABS warning lamp which means that the light is lit for 2-5 seconds. After that the control module checks the system voltage continuously.
If the driver has had the ignition on for approximately 10 seconds before the car is stared (starter motor running), the system voltage may drop so much that the control module detects the voltage is too low. The ABS warning lamp then lights without the control module storing any diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
No corrective action is required.
