- Read off the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) status. Check the status of the relevant diagnostic trouble code (DTC).





Was the status of the relevant diagnostic trouble code (DTC) permanent?

Yes - Checking cables

No - Intermittent fault

Checking cables
Check the cable between engine control module (ECM) #B45 (#B55) and central electronic module #14B (#A34) for an intermittent short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.

Check the cable between engine control module (ECM) #B45 (#B55) and central electronic module #14B (#A34) for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.

Hint: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off.
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Read off the central electronic module (CEM) fuel pump input signal from the engine control module (ECM).
Start the engine and check that the fuel pump (FP) input signal to the Central electronic module changes status.





Does the input signal status change?

Yes - VERIFIED

No - VERIFICATION FAILED
