Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition

All communication between the cruise control buttons in the steering wheel (steering wheel module (SWM)) and the engine control module (ECM) occurs via the central electronic module (CEM) and the CAN network. If the engine control module (ECM) registers that the signals from the steering wheel buttons indicate that they are all pressed simultaneously (which is impossible due to button design) for 0.3 seconds, diagnostic trouble code ECM-9200 Faulty signal is generated.
For upgraded software (released 2006 or later), the above detection time is increased from 0.3 to 1.8 seconds.
