Trim molding

Special tools:
981 4071 STRAIGHTENING TOOL 981 4071 Straightening Tool

Removing the trim molding




Partially remove the protective molding. Use weatherstrip tool 981 4071 STRAIGHTENING TOOL 981 4071 Straightening Tool.
Carefully pry the trim molding from the door and front fender.
Remove any adhesive residue using white spirit.

Installing the trim molding




Clean the surface from grease and dust. Use white spirit.

Warning! Avoid skin contact with the white spirit.

Check that the bodywork is at room temperature.
Heat the trim molding and double-sided adhesive tape to 40 °C.
Remove the protective film from the tape.
Position the molding at points A, B and C.
Press the molding into place.
