Removing the front fender





Remove:
- the fender liner according to Plastic fender liner Service and Repair
- the screw for the turn signal lamp unit
- the turn signal lamp unit
- the side turn signal flashers on the fender
- the three screws at the top
- the two screws at the bottom
- the foam seal
- the screw behind the hinge for the front side door.




Remove the screw for the bumper and front fender.
Bend the rear of the bumper down. Remove the screw (1).
Carefully remove the front fender.

Installing the front fender
Clean the inside of the front fender and the mating surface on the bodywork.
Rust-proof the cleaned components.
Locate the front fender in the correct position.

Install:
- the screw behind the hinge for the front side door. Tighten the screw by hand
- the foam seal
- the two screws at the bottom. Finger tighten
- the three screws at the top. Finger tighten
- the screw (1) at the front. Finger tighten
- the screw for the bumper and fender.

Note! Tighten the top screws first.

Check the alignment of the fender against the car body.
Tighten all screws. Tighten to 6 Nm.

Install:
- the side turn signal flashers on the fender
- the turn signal lamp unit
- the screw for the turn signal lamp unit
- the fender liner according to Plastic fender liner Service and Repair.
