Replace the front heated oxygen sensor (HO2S)

Removing the wiring for the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S)




Remove the relay cover. Disconnect the connector from the front (black (2)) or rear (white (1)) heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
- Release the cable from the three mounting points
- 2 = black
- 1 = white.

Removing the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S)




- Apply rust solvent
- Remove the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S)
- Remove the sealing ring.

Installing the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S)




- Install a new sealing ring. Apply installation paste (P/N 1161035-9) to the entire length of the screw thread.
Tighten the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S). Tighten to 55 Nm
- Pull the cable upwards.

Installing the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S), cable and connector





Note! Adjust the routing of the cable so that it does not come into contact with the exhaust system.

- Route the cable. Secure the cable to the 3 mounting points
- Connect the connector. Secure the cable to the bracket
- Reinstall the relay cover.
