DTC ECM-200D

Condition







The engine control module (ECM) checks the signals from the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-200D is stored in the engine control module (ECM) if the engine control module (ECM) registers that the signal from the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor does not change over a period of time and that the value when restarting does not change either.

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) ECM-200D can be diagnosed when the engine is running.

Substitute value
The engine coolant temperature (ECT) is set to a calculated substitute value.

Possible source
- Contact resistance
- Defective engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor.

Fault symptom[s]
- The engine fails to start
- High idling speed.
