DTC ECM-400A

Condition







The engine control module (ECM) detects a fault in the evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve by analyzing the signal from the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-400A is stored in the control module if the engine control module (ECM) registers that the evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve has stuck. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-400A can be diagnosed when the engine is running.

Possible source
- The evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve has stuck in the open position
- The evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve has stuck in the closed position
- The hose between the intake manifold and evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve is defective or blocked.
