DTC ECM-432A

Condition
The engine control module (ECM) checks the function of the pump by measuring the current through the leak diagnostic pump.

After the leading reference phase in the leak diagnostic the air flow is directed to the fuel tank system to pressurize it. In this change there is a short lowering of power consumption before pressure builds up in the tank system. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-432A is stored in the control module if the engine control module (ECM) registers that the power consumption of the pump falls too slowly or not at all during this change. The engine control module (ECM) interprets this as a defective valve in the pump.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-432A can be diagnosed when the leak diagnostic is run.
