Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-900E is stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers an internal fault.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-900E can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

Substitute value
- The cruise control is disengaged when the fault is active
- The electronic throttle unit follows the pulse width modulation (PWM) accelerator pedal signal directly.

Possible source
- Defective engine control module (ECM).

Fault symptom[s]
- The engine misfires
- Cruise control does not function at all
- Poor accelerator pedal (AP) response.
