DTC ECM-941C

Condition
The engine control module (ECM) checks the brake pedal position sensor and stop (brake) lamp switch.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-941C is stored in the engine control module (ECM) if the engine control module (ECM) receives values from the brake pedal position sensor which are incorrect, outside the permitted range or which do not correspond to the brake switch.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-941C can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

Substitute value
- The cruise control is disengaged when the fault is active.

Possible source

Faulty signal
- Contact resistance in the terminals for the brake pedal position sensor
- Incorrectly mounted stop lamp switch
- Defective brake pedal position sensor.

Fault symptom[s]
- Cruise control does not function at all.
