Checking The Signals For The Boost Pressure Sensors

Checking the signals for the boost pressure sensors

Checking the signals for the boost pressure sensors

- Ignition on
- Read off the values for the boost pressure sensors.
Check that the values for the boost pressure sensors are within their permitted ranges. The reading must be approximately 1000 mbar. The values vary with conditions dependent on the atmospheric pressure.
Compare the value between boost pressure sensor 1 and boost pressure sensor 2 to an accuracy of 100 mbar. There may be a fault if the values differ by more than 100 mbar.

Hint: Check the connectors for the boost pressure sensors. Check for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.

Remedy as necessary
