- Start the engine
- Activate reading off the resistance on the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S)
- Check that the value drops below 40 ohms within 2 minutes
- Ignition off.
Check the engine control module (ECM) and heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) connectors. Check for contact resistance and oxidation.
Remedy as necessary.

- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Start the engine.
